What is a subdomain?
Subdomains are based on your primary domain and work as prefixes for your website. They are great ways to organise your website or to create sub-websites under your main website. For example, you could have a webstore and want to use a subdomain for your help section. If your domain is example.com, you could set your help section to help.example.com.
To set up a subdomain for your domain follow these steps:
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Click on Subdomains under the Domains section.
- Enter the name of the subdomain and select the primary domain name you wish the subdomain to become a part of.
- Click Create to create your new subdomain.
Please note: The primary domain must be pointed to the server in order to be able to create a subdomain.
